Junior Archery Course

Junior archery course begins 29th of January 2023, on Sundays from 11am to 13pm.

The course lasts 15 weeks, and is similar in content to the adult JK1 course, which teaches basics of archery following the First Arrows -concept.

Course fee is 150 €.

The course is suitable for a 10-18y old child/youth beginner, but also for more experienced archers in the age group.

Course contents:

  • Warmup and basics of body maintenance for archery.
  • Theory following the First Arrows -concept of the Finnish national archery association (SJAL).
  • Practical excercises following the same framework.
  • Age-appropriate psychological coaching.
  • Introduction and practice in indoor archery following SJAL and FFAA (Finnish Field Archery Association) rules.
  • All archery disciplines practices in the association are taken into account, and there is an opportunity to try out different disciplines.

There is space for 15 participants ages 10 to 18. Priority given to Wilhelm Tell members.

The course is run by Robert Koski and Camilla Nieminen.

The Wilhelm Tell association can be petitioned for financial support to cover course costs.
